![]() |sumsion| posted a photo: I’m continuing my monochromatic week, and this one’s NOT out of the archive. Happy Wednesday! I’ve been here before. A few times . But it’s been a long time. It was good to get out again, and I was the only person on earth. Nice. The lake/pond is completely frozen over. Those are footprints you can see to the sides of the pier. Snow-covered, of course. The sky behaved for me tonight. I like that. Oh…and this is another vertorama. The pier consists of three exposures. Same with the sky. Each set of three combined as HDR. B&W conversion done in Photomatix. Two HDRs stitched in Photoshop CS3. See the footprints ![]() |sumsion| posted a photo: The shadows linger But I hide my face Until the nighttime comes And finds me waiting for the return As I step into the day I find it easier To hold back the tides Than to hold back the night large —– This is an old image, taken this past summer on Antelope Island. This is a vertorama, consisting of six total images. Three on top, three on bottom. The two sets of three combined as HDRs, and the resulting two stitched vertically in Photoshop CS3. Hold Back the Night ![]() |sumsion| posted a photo: View large to see the birds. There have been a lot recently. For some reason processing helps. I probably spent more time on this image tonight than I’ve spent on any single image in a very long time. It felt good. Although the scene is familiar, some of the processing methods and colors are a stretch for me. This is the shore of The Great Salt Lake, close to the GSL Marina, looking northwestish. This image consists of six exposures. Three on top, three on bottom. Each set of three combined as HDR. Resulting two HDRs stitched vertically to create the square vertorama. Then a bunch of other Photoshop and Lightroom goodness added. |
