 |sumsion| posted a photo: Scotland is amazing with color and without. If you’re looking for color, you can see this concrete in a different shot here , and a bit closer to shore. This is the first time that I have processed an HDR as b&w from within Photomatix. Since I’m in my monochromatic week, I knew I needed no color. In the past I’ve just converted color to b&w later on, but I think this works better. My eyes were seeing in b&w the entire time. Large  |sumsion| posted a photo: This is not Alaska, but it reminds me of it tonight. I remember driving from Valdez to Wasilla, which is about a 5-6 hour drive, starting at 1 AM. This is pretty much what it looked like during the entire drive. Sunsetish, twilight, golden. I’ve made that twilight drive many, many times. It never gets old. Add a few glaciers, ginormous mountains, maybe a moose or a bear, and you have it. Ok. This looks absolutely nothing like Alaska. But it’s nice to dream.  |sumsion| posted a photo: I’m still (slowly) processing shots from this outing. It was such a fun evening. Perfect weather, wonderful sunset, crazy rocks. I may never get through them all. Part of this shot was my buddy icon for a week or so. I realized tonight that I hadn’t posted the entire shot. So here you go. Very close to the same area as The Underworld . On a personal note, I got my hair cut today for the first time in months. I’m missing it, and I’ll now just need to grow it all back. Taken on a week long shoot of the Isles of Skye, Lewis, Harris and the Western Highlands. **Update** Literally the moment after uploading this photo, I saw on the TV, a news story about a poor chap who fell to his death on the very hills I have photographed. EdinburghGary posted a photo: One of my favourite places in the entire country, it NEVER fails to impress. Taken on a week long shoot of the Isles of Skye, Lewis, Harris and the Western Highlands. **Update** Literally the moment after uploading this photo, I saw on the TV, a news story about a poor chap who fell to his death on the very hills I have photographed. He died less than 24 hours after I took this photo. |
