I have been looking at your superb images of and around Salt Lake City and I think they are stunning. I am planning to visit Utah in the near future and I would be very grateful if you could suggest some locations around the southern end of the lake to shoot from. I have been considering buying the Sigma 10mm/20mm and I think your photographs may have convinced me that I should not leave England without one.Just one final question, what HDR software would you suggest for amateur use?. Many thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
Martin.
Thank you for the kind words. I appreciate it. Unfortunately my reply will have to be quick for now. I will be away for a bit.
If you are going to be taking mostly landscape photographs, I highly suggest the Sigma 10-20. I love it and it is mounted probably 95% of the time. It’s the only lens I took with me to Scotland and Ireland.
My two favorite places on the Southern end of the lake are Saltair and Antelope Island. You can drive to both, but both will require a small entrance fee. There are miles of area to explore in both places, so I suggest you give yourself a bit of time.
As I mentioned, I don’t have much time. Sorry. I’m not sure when you’re coming this way, but if it’s not immediate I can give you more info, directions, etc.
